(LEAD) N. Korea's Kim calls for modernizing ideological tactics

Seoul, September 22 (Yonhap) -- In a call to modernize ideological tactics, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un addressed party officials during the third workshop for information sector officials. During his closing remarks on Monday, Kim outlined the party's principles and tasks for advancing ideological work, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

Kim emphasized the need for innovative information and motivation strategies, as well as the creation of new cultural norms, all while aligning with the revolution and the desires of the people. He especially stressed the importance of employing modern information and technological means to effectively counteract the spread of reactionary ideologies, which he saw as crucial in curbing the flow of outside ideas and influences.

The four-day workshop concluded on Monday, focusing on ideological education rooted in Kim's revolutionary ideas and the party's historical achievements. Attendees were encouraged to intensify their information and publicity efforts to energize the populace and implement the decisions made at the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, tailoring their approach to various sectors and units.

The workshop also explored new methodologies for ideological work, realistic and engaging approaches to information dissemination, and the strategic use of visual aids in line with the party's policy to enhance their impact. This marks the third workshop of its kind since its inception in 2022, with Kim present at both the opening and closing ceremonies, delivering a speech at each event.
