Latvia blocks EU deal to extend Russia sanctions over Usmanov, Fridman delisting
EU countries failed to agree on delisting USM Holdings founder Alisher Usmanov and Alfa Group co-founder Mikhail Fridman in exchange for extending sanctions against nearly 3,000 people and companies accused of aiding Russia’s war against Ukraine, The Guardian reported on Sept. 22, describing the situation as a “deadlock.”
