On September 22, 2026, in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, a 27-year-old man named Mohd Saud Ansari entered Children’s Academy School and shot a female teacher dead in front of students before taking his own life. The incident occurred around 11:30 am. The police investigation into the incident is focusing on several key pieces of evidence.
A cryptic Instagram post, linked to Ansari's account "@onior5911", has emerged as a crucial piece of evidence. In the message, Ansari requested people to delete his pictures and messages, clear his conversations and report his Facebook account in case he died suddenly. The account allegedly belonged to Ansari and investigators are examining its timing and contents to establish possible motives behind the shooting.
Two country-made pistols were also allegedly recovered from Ansari's bag. The presence of the guns and the circumstances surrounding their acquisition is being investigated. Investigators are trying to understand why Ansari was carrying two firearms and whether their presence was related to his visit to the school.
The police are also examining Ansari's movements and CCTV footage, as well as the pair's recent interactions and Ansari's social media activity, to piece together the events leading up to the shooting. The Instagram posts, alleged pistol recovery and Ansari's interactions with the teacher form separate pieces of evidence in the ongoing investigation. Police are attempting to determine whether these pieces of evidence are connected to the same sequence of events or were unrelated to the shooting.
