Becht, the team's winningest quarterback, revealed that Howard exhibited exceptional skills and ability to make plays in practice, even before Becht was able to start throwing again after recovering from surgery.

Howard has already amassed 12 catches for 344 yards in just three games, showcasing his speed and skill by making catches at high points in the field. His chemistry with Becht has been evident, as demonstrated by a notable 70-yard catch-and-run score against Buffalo. This success has caused Howard to become a top threat in the Big Ten Conference, now tied for the most receptions of 30 yards or more among Bowl Subdivision receivers.

With the upcoming game against Wisconsin, Howard is eager to continue his impressive performances, which could propel him towards a historic milestone of receiving 1,000 yards this season, a feat not achieved by Penn State since 2021.
