Khade Hanuman Temple Row Sparks Questions Over Simhastha Land Encroachments In MP’s Ujjain

Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh: The Dada Khade Hanuman Temple removal efforts have sparked questions regarding alleged encroachments in the Simhastha area, with Sakal Hindu Samaj demanding the release of Avantika Tirtha from illegal occupation. The organization has placed banners and posters at around 50 Ganesh pandals in the city. Hindu groups claim that eight colonies in Number 5 Naka area and a significant portion of Juna Somwariya have been developed illegally on Simhastha land.

They stated that over 450 notices have been issued to these colonies, yet no action has been taken against the encroachments. Ritesh Maheshwari, convenor of Hindu Jagran Mahanagar, and Shelu Yadav from Dharma Jagran expressed their support for peacefully transferring around 60 temples to the administration for road widening and development.

They urged the retention of Dada Khade Hanuman Temple at its original location. They also pointed out that 11 mosques and mazars fall within the Simhastha area and the road-widening stretches, requesting clarification from the administration on actions against alleged encroachments. Bulldozer action on Mansarovar temple wall has drawn criticism, with residents objecting to the demolition of Mahadev temple and Manokamnasiddha Hanuman temple in Mansarovar Colony.

They demanded that the government and administration preserve the temple premises during the road work, questioning the lack of similar action taken against mazars located on roads across the city.
