Jets sign former Titans QB Will Levis to practice squad and release Bailey Zappe, AP source says

NASHVILLE, Tennessee - August 29 - The New York Jets have signed Will Levis, the 27-year-old Connecticut native and former Tennessee Titans quarterback, to the team's practice squad. This move replaces Bailey Zappe, who was recently released by the Jets. Currently, Geno Smith and fourth-round 2026 draft pick Cade Klubnik are the active quarterbacks on the Jets' roster.

Levis was selected 33rd overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2023 NFL Draft but was waived by the team in late August after a three-year stint. He had a successful high school career at Xavier High in Massachusetts before transferring to Kentucky, where he became the starting quarterback for two seasons, throwing for 5,233 yards and 43 touchdowns while recording 23 interceptions.

However, his tenure with the Titans was not as successful, as he went 5-16 and was eventually replaced by Cam Ward, who was the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
