iPhone 20 Pro Max Leak: Apple Could Make a Nearly 7-Inch Screen Feel Borderless

A recent leak suggests Apple may be developing a nearly 7-inch, borderless display for the iPhone 20 Pro Max. Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station shared alleged specifications for the iPhone 20 Pro display prototypes, revealing two configurations: a 6.41-inch screen and a 6.96-inch screen. The latter resolution is said to be approximately 460 pixels per inch, indicating a focus on screen size rather than sharpness.

Apple is reportedly testing a "borderless quad-curved" display, which curves along all four sides, potentially creating a nearly uninterrupted display area while reducing the visibility of the metal frame. This design aims to make more of the iPhone's front become the screen, potentially increasing usable screen space without a significant increase in the phone's size.

However, the inclusion of an under-display camera and Face ID hardware presents a challenge, as it may compromise image quality and durability. Despite this, Apple's recent design language suggests a focus on sleek, glass-inspired interfaces, and the company may ultimately strike a balance between a visible opening for the camera and an uninterrupted-glass appearance.
