IG Islamabad Assures Rent Payment for Seized Containers

Islamabad's Inspector General of Police, Captain (Retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, pledged on Tuesday that the owners of containers seized to maintain law and order would receive rent for their use. Containers carrying essential items like medicines, food, and other perishables will be returned to their rightful owners without delay.

The police have also committed to restoring containers utilized for public order maintenance. Transporters' associations participated in the meeting alongside Deputy Inspector General Headquarters Jawad Tariq. The move follows complaints from the transportation industry about the seizure of commercial vehicles across Islamabad and other regions, which have reportedly inflicted losses of Rs.
