Huawei Opens Reservations For Watch GT 7 Series Ahead Of Malaysian Launch

Huawei is set to launch its Watch GT 7 series in Malaysia next week on the 29th of September, 2026. In anticipation of the announcement, the company has now opened reservations for the wearable devices. The Watch GT 7 series has already been released globally, and Huawei has confirmed that both the base and Pro models will be available in Malaysia.

The base model comes in two sizes, 41mm and 46mm, and offers seven color options. The Pro variant, on the other hand, is available in a single 46mm size with three finishes. The EasyCross Strap, a new addition to the series, features a tuck-under design for a secure fit. The Pro model also boasts a titanium alloy case, a nano-tech ceramic bezel, and sapphire glass-protected display.

Both models will have AMOLED panels with peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The Watch GT 7 series introduces a Physical Readiness Score, a scoring system that evaluates factors such as recovery, heart rate variability, sleep, activity, and emotional wellbeing. Additionally, the Diabetes Risk Study, initially introduced with the Watch Fit 5 Pro, will be available as well.

This feature utilizes pulse-wave signals from the watch sensors, along with details like age, gender, height, and weight, to estimate the wearer's potential diabetes risk. The Pro model will also feature an ECG function. Enhanced positioning systems and Smart Route Reconstruction will provide accurate route tracking in outdoor environments, while the Pro model will offer additional cycling and golf features like Intelligent Climbing Planning, Sharp Turn Alerts, and Lactate Threshold Analysis, as well as Plays-like Distance and Shot Distance Tracking for golf.

The devices offer a battery life of 21 days for the 46mm models and up to 14 days for the 41mm Watch GT 7. Touch 'n Go QR payment functionality will remain, and the smartwatches will be compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones.
