How Travis Kelce saved $640,000 on his $5.35m Ohio mansion
In a remarkable real estate move, Travis Kelce has acquired an impressive mansion in Ohio for $5.35 million, marking a significant drop from the original asking price. This property had already experienced a price reduction prior to Kelce's involvement, with his team successfully negotiating the final cost down by $640,000. This purchase signifies Kelce's strong ties to his hometown.
Taylor Swift has been a devoted supporter of her husband, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, attending 25 of the team's football games since they began dating in 2023. Swift often wears Chiefs gear and dresses in the team's signature red-forward color palette. Since their relationship began, Swift's presence at the games has been well-received by the NFL, which has seen an increase in female fan engagement. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has credited Swift with this boost in interest.
Swift first attended a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium in September 2023, and her enthusiasm confirmed her romance with Kelce, who had hinted at their relationship through his podcast. She brought her friend Blake Lively to the second game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, which drew the highest viewership for a Sunday TV show since the Super Bowl. Swift's fashion choices at these games, such as her vintage 90s sweatshirt, have also driven merch sales and attracted more female viewers.
Kelce has expressed mixed feelings about the NFL's extensive coverage of his wife, stating that it adds atmosphere but can become excessive, especially for his situation. Despite this, Swift has maintained a strong friendship with Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Kelce's teammate. She has cheered for the Chiefs in various home games, including against the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, and New England Patriots, often wearing Chiefs merchandise.
