Houthis seize more ground in Yemen as Trump calls off strikes; why Saudi Arabia is alarmed

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump called for all members of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to resign immediately. He described the institution as "out of control" and a "group of evil people." Addressing the United Nations General Assembly at UN headquarters in New York, Trump urged all nations to "officially resign from this rogue institution" right away.

Trump vehemently defended the United States, stating that Washington would never allow US service members or anyone else to face investigation or show-trials by this "anti-American tribunal with no jurisdiction over us." The administration has already imposed sanctions on several ICC officials following the court's issuance of an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
