Hollard Ghana loses Group CEO

Hollard Ghana suffered a devastating loss on September 20, 2026, with the passing of its Group CEO, Patience Enyonam Akyianu. The company lauded her immense contributions, describing her as the "beating heart" of Hollard Ghana. Appointed as the first Group CEO in October 2018, she steered the company towards becoming a market-leading force, making insurance more accessible to thousands of Ghanaians.

Her legacy extends beyond business growth and a trusted brand; she cultivated a culture of care, courage, and kindness. A native of Cape Coast, Akyianu graduated with first-class honors in Business Administration from the University of Ghana. She held a prestigious MBA from the same institution. Before Hollard Ghana, she worked at Standard Chartered Bank, climbing the ranks to become CFO of the South African office. She is survived by her husband, Kwame Akyianu, and their two children, Awurama and Nana Banyin.
