HH the Amir participates in multilateral meeting held by the US in New York

His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Amir of Qatar, attended a multilateral meeting hosted by the United States at the United Nations headquarters in New York during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The gathering also featured the attendance of President Donald Trump of the United States, King Abdullah II of Jordan, President Ahmed al-Sharaa of Syria, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah, Iraq's Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi, Egypt's Prime Minister Dr Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt's President Dr Nawaf Salam, the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan al-Saud, Oman's Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr al-Busaidi, Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid al-Zayani, and numerous senior officials and delegation members.

The discussions centered around recent security developments in the Middle East, their implications for regional and global security, and their effect on energy supplies and the economy. Strategies for the post-war phase and related arrangements were also deliberated upon, along with methods to accelerate peace and stability through dialogue and diplomatic solutions.
