Heidi Lands $340 Million to Push Healthcare AI Beyond Notetaking to Action

Heidi secured $340 million in fresh funding to enhance its AI Care Partner for clinicians and fuel its expansion, as detailed in a Tuesday (Sept. 22) press release. This new capital encompasses a $100 million Series C round spearheaded by Blackbird and a $240 million growth investment led by General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund (CVF).

The funding round has been valued at $900 billion, a significant increase from the $465 billion valuation it held in an October Series B round where it raised $65 million. Heidi's AI Scribe is responsible for transcribing healthcare visits, Evidence allows clinicians to access medical research at the point of care, Remote records audio, and Dictate delivers voice-to-text services.

Since its inception, Heidi's platform has logged over 175 million patient visits and over 67 million clinical hours in just two years, with operations spanning 190 countries and 110 languages, resulting in annual recurring revenue of $50 million, according to the release. With the additional funding, Heidi plans to expand platform adoption within global health systems, develop agentic capabilities for patient visit support, and further establish regulatory and clinical safety standards for these capabilities.

"I envisioned AI working alongside clinicians, handling real work under their supervision. That's the transition we're making now, shifting from note-taking to assisting clinicians in applying that information."

Pranav Singhvi, co-founder and partner at CVF, noted that Heidi "has proven its ability to gain trust in the world's most complex health systems." Michael Tolo, general partner at Blackbird, added that Heidi had early investments in developing its own models and training capabilities, earning the right to handle vital downstream workflows in rigorous clinical settings globally.
