Hayden Panettiere's death ruled accidental overdose

Actress Hayden Panettiere, 36, died in August in Greenville, South Carolina. The official cause of her death has been determined to be an accidental overdose from a combination of drugs, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office. The coroner's report revealed fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol, and quetiapine in her system.

Fentanyl is the most dangerous of the substances found, as it has a higher likelihood of causing an overdose. An autopsy found no signs of trauma that would have contributed to her death. Panettiere was found unresponsive at an apartment in Greenville, South Carolina. The Drug Enforcement Administration is investigating the source of the fentanyl, whether it originated in South Carolina or if Panettiere brought it with her from California.

Panettiere traveled from Los Angeles to South Carolina the day before her death. A memorial service for the actress was held in California over the weekend, attended by her co-star Connie Britton and other celebrities like Evan Ross and Ruby Rose.
