FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan names ex-Fauji Foods chief as new CEO

Usman Zaheer Ahmad, formerly chief executive of Fauji Foods Limited, has been appointed as the new CEO of FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL), according to a recent filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The Board of Directors has approved his appointment, and the specific date of his joining will be communicated later.

This comes the same day that Kashan Hasan stepped down from his roles as CEO and director of FCEPL. Usman has been the CEO of Fauji Foods since March 2022, managing Fauji Group's consumer business, which includes dairy, cereals, pasta, and frozen fruits and vegetables across four factories. Before that, he served as CEO of Nishat Sutas Dairy from April 2019 to March 2022, having been part of the joint venture between Nishat Group and Turkiye’s Sutas from its inception.

FCEPL, a public limited company, was initially named Engro Foods in 2005 and is a subsidiary of FrieslandCampina Pakistan Holding B.V., which acquired a 450 million USD foreign direct investment in Pakistan's dairy sector in 2016 through the purchase of Engro Foods. The company operates two production facilities in Sukkur and Sahiwal, along with a dairy farm in Nara, supported by more than 1300 milk collection centers, and is engaged in the production, processing, and sale of dairy products and frozen desserts.
