Europa attraente per investire, l’Italia batte Spagna e Svizzera

Europa is emerging as the most attractive destination for non-European investments and business, outpacing Asia-Pacific, North America, the Middle East, China, and Latin America, according to a study by Deutsche Bank. Italy is seen as more appealing than Spain and Switzerland, following closely behind Germany, France, and the Netherlands.

The survey polled 1,200 entrepreneurs from 13 non-European countries, all of whom either already invest in Europe or plan to do so. The main finding is that "international companies are far more optimistic about Europe than the European debate suggests, which is often critical." This enthusiasm stems from Europe's "political and economic stability," growth opportunities, and potential for innovation through artificial intelligence.

However, non-EU entrepreneurs also criticize Europe for the same shortcomings that deter European entrepreneurs: difficulties in cross-border relationships, high costs, and slow authorization procedures. Italy ranks fourth among major investment destinations in Europe, with 33% of surveyed companies planning to invest in the Italian market.

Interest is particularly high in the United Arab Emirates (54%), Saudi Arabia (46%), and the United States (41%), while Mexican companies consider Italy their second choice for European investment after Germany. The survey reveals that over a third, 35%, of respondents view Europe as the world's most attractive region for business, with a significant difference between companies already operating in Europe (45%) and those planning to do so (15%).

35% favor Europe, followed by Asia-Pacific (24%), North America (19%), the Middle East (10%), China (6%), and Latin America (5%). An overwhelming majority, 81%, believe Europe has become more important in their investment decisions over the past three years. Europe remains a consumer market that attracts businesses, with 99% of respondents considering it important for the consumer market in the next 3-5 years.

Additionally, 92% predict Europe will be crucial for production, research and development, and supply chain stability in the same period.
