Dubai's parking management firm Parkin has launched a smart parking system at Rashid Hospital as part of an expansion into the healthcare sector. The first phase of the paid system at Dubai Health facilities aims to provide patients and visitors with a seamless experience. Patients will continue to receive free parking during their visit, including those in emergency care or undergoing ongoing treatment.

Companions for admitted patients will have access to free parking for 24 hours, with extensions available. Parkin's COO, Osama Alsafi, stated that the goal is to reduce congestion, optimize space utilization, and enhance the arrival experience while keeping patients at the center of the service. The company will offer up to three hours of free parking to those visiting patients, free valet parking for pregnant women, senior citizens, and those with disabilities once their eligibility is verified, and standard parking fees for others, with a 30-minute grace period per day for pickups and drop-offs.

Parkin currently operates 268,300 paid parking spaces across Dubai and recently signed a five-year partnership with Damac Properties to manage parking at 3,600 spaces in residential communities.
