Dax aktuell: Dax startet niedriger – Ölpreise steigen wieder

Düsseldorf - The DAX index opened lower on Tuesday, suggesting a cautious trading session. The German benchmark started the day at 25,481 points, down 0.4 percent from its 25,575 milestone reached on Monday. Brent crude oil, a North Sea blend, rebounded to about $102 per barrel (159 liters) on Tuesday morning, marking a nearly 3.8 percent increase from Monday's decline.

Energy supply concerns in the Middle East remain elevated, with another ship attacked in the Hormuz Strait. Meanwhile, gains in US and Asian markets bolstered the German stock market to some extent. On the Nasdaq 100, the technology-heavy US index saw a strong upward movement the previous day. Andreas Lipkow, chief market analyst at CMC Markets, explains the mechanism behind energy prices: "Rising energy prices fuel inflation, higher inflation compels central banks to intervene, and higher interest rates subsequently burden bond markets." Consequently, falling energy prices spark optimism for a potential decline in inflation.
