CMC moves to curb non-compliant vehicle lighting systems

The Central Municipal Council (CMC) convened to tackle the issue of non-compliant vehicle lighting systems. During the 58th meeting, which was the final session of its seventh electoral term, the council discussed measures to curb the spread of such lights and enhance road safety for all users. The CMC's Services and Utilities Committee presented a report, along with recommendations for authorities to establish an effective mechanism to control the circulation of these lights in the local market.

The council's 57th meeting minutes were also approved, followed by a review of correspondence from various entities in response to the council's previous recommendations. The discussions covered regulations for vacant plots, kiosks in shopping malls, and public beaches, as well as proposals for renaming roads and intersections in coordination with the Committee for Naming Areas, Districts and Squares.
