China rule Asian Games tally, Malaysia open gold account on Day 3

KUALA LUMPUR - China's dominance at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games continued on Day Three as they crossed the 50-medal threshold, with a tally of 32 gold, 13 silver, and 8 bronze medals. Malaysia finally broke their gold-medal duck, marking a historic milestone in their participation at the Games. 20-year-old karate athlete Adeola Fay Robert led the way, winning Malaysia's first gold medal by defeating Iran's Fatemehzahra Saeidabadi in the women's below-55kg kumite final at the Toyohashi Gymnasium.

Malaysia's tally now stands at four medals, including one gold and three bronze. In the Asian region, Thailand is leading the pack in fifth place, followed by Singapore in a tie for 11th with one gold, three silver, and one bronze. Myanmar and Malaysia share the 16th position with one gold and three bronze each. The Philippines are in 21st place with one silver and three bronze medals, while Cambodia and Brunei are in 28th and tied for 32nd, respectively, with four and one bronze medals each.
