CAS Participates in Beam Signing Event for 12 AH-1Z Viper Attack Helicopters in Texas

Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) for the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), attended a beam-signing event in Texas to mark the acquisition of 12 AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters for the NAF. This significant milestone is part of the defense cooperation programme between Nigeria and the United States, aimed at modernizing the country's Armed Forces.

Air Marshal Aneke expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and commitment to strengthening Nigeria's defence and security architecture. The CAS highlighted that the acquisition of the AH-1Z Viper helicopters is a crucial step in enhancing the operational effectiveness of the Nigerian Armed Forces and ensuring the NAF remains well-equipped to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities.

The programme aligns with the CAS's command philosophy of building a highly motivated, professional, and mission-ready force capable of delivering decisive airpower effects in support of national security goals. The NAF delegation toured the Bell Textron facility during the event to inspect the AH-1Z Viper production line, underscoring the federal government's dedication to developing modern airpower capabilities and strengthening strategic partnerships to support Nigeria's national security objectives.
