Baba Kalbhairav Rides Through Ujjain In Grand Dol Gyaras Procession

Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh witnessed a grand procession of Baba Kalbhairav on Tuesday evening as part of the Dol Gyaras festival. The deity was adorned and presented with a turban, symbolizing the Scindia family's blessings. Collector Raushan Kumar Singh and Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma performed puja and aarti, officially inaugurating the procession.

The temple was adorned with fruits, creating a festive atmosphere. The procession began from Kalbhairav Temple, passing through Bhairavgarh, and headed towards the Central Jail. Jail Superintendent Manoj Sahu welcomed Baba by conducting puja and aarti, while police personnel provided a guard of honor at the jail entrance. Inmates had darshan of Baba and showered flowers upon the procession.

The event continued at Siddhavat, where more puja and aarti were performed. The procession was adorned with armed police personnel, bands, drums, flags, horses, a horse-drawn carriage, and hundreds of devotees who joined in the celebration. Devotees showered flowers along the way, adding to the jubilant mood. Tableaux depicting Ravana's penance and Lord Ram slaying Kumbhakarna were part of the procession, attracting a large crowd.

Sadhus and saints performed to the beats of DJs and drums, while children dressed as sadhus added to the spectacle. One inmate, who had been serving a life sentence for 13 years at Bhairavgarh Jail, had darshan of Baba Kalbhairav and prayed for the release of his fellow inmates. Indore Activist Prahlad Pandey's hunger strike against illegal hoardings and posters was also highlighted during the event.
