Westville’s libraries once reflected the rapid growth and ambitions of the former borough, with rising membership and book circulation prompting the construction of a larger library in 1976. Today, years of neglect, poor maintenance and vandalism have left both library buildings in decline, raising fears that the city could eventually lose another valuable community asset.
