Wonderful weekend of music with very different styles, which to choose, at Salon Varietes this September

This September, the Salon Varietes in Fuengirola is hosting a weekend of diverse musical performances to cater to all music lovers' preferences. Attendees can choose between two distinct styles, ensuring a memorable night out for everyone.

On Friday, September 25, the Cor Meibion Onllwyn, a male voice choir from the Neath Port Talbot area, will take the stage. The choir, known for their traditional Welsh singing style with modern arrangements, has gained popularity through their weekly rehearsals at the Onllwyn Miners Welfare Hall. They are part of a Spanish tour in 2026, which also includes a performance at Gibraltar Cathedral.

Welsh singer-songwriter Bronwen Lewis, who appeared on The Voice UK's second series and sang for the BAFTA-winning film Pride, will be the special guest for this evening. Expect a mix of traditional Welsh music and contemporary arrangements, providing a balanced and entertaining performance.

The following day, Saturday, September 26, the atmosphere will change completely with Swing Compagniet, a 14-piece Norwegian band dubbed a "Little Big Band." They will perform a set of jazz and swing classics such as Sweet Georgia Brown, Fly Me to the Moon, Blue Moon, All of Me, Lady is a Tramp, and Hallelujah I Love Her So, featuring a full horn section and a lead vocalist.
