Who's Field Hockey Player of the Week, presented by White Plains Hospital?

Each week, lohud invites readers to vote for the Field Hockey Player of the Week, sponsored by White Plains Hospital. Bailey Donovan, a senior midfielder at Rye Country Day, claimed the title last week after scoring the game-winning goal off a rebound from a penalty corner with time left on the clock. Donovan joined Valhalla's Sophia Gac, who won the award the previous week. This week, coaches nominated six athletes for the prestigious honor due to their impressive play from September 14-20.

Clare Collins, a senior forward at Pleasantville, continued her offensive prowess. She scored the first goal Mamaroneck conceded all season and added another in overtime to secure a win against Pearl River. Ellie Fay, a senior center forward at Bronxville, delivered a standout performance in a 3-0 victory over Nanuet, scoring twice and setting up the team's third goal.

Nicolina Giannettino, a sophomore forward at Suffern, made her first foray into field hockey and scored four goals, including two in a 6-0 win over Carmel and another in a 3-1 win over Rye Neck.

Kaeleigh Larkin, a senior forward at Nanuet, scored an impressive five goals in the week, including two in overtime against Albertus Magnus to secure a victory. She also scored a hat trick in a 4-1 win over Nyack. Emelia Pieri, a junior midfielder at Hackley, netted a hat trick and an assist in the Hornets' 5-1 win over Chapin. She also scored the goal that netted Hackley a point in a 2-1 loss to Fieldston.

Taylor Stillwaggon, a junior forward at Mahopac, added two goals and an assist in the team's 2-1 overtime win over North Salem, netting the game-winning goal off a penalty corner with no time remaining. Nancy Haggerty, a sports reporter for The Journal News/lohud, covered the weekly competition.
