Tatale-Sanguli DCE urges Basare communities to unite for peace, development

Mary Tagba, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Tatale-Sanguli, has called upon Basare communities nationwide to set aside tribal differences and come together to foster peace and boost development. Ms. Tagba believes that unity among the Basare people is essential to safeguard their cultural heritage and provide opportunities for the youth and future generations.

She made these remarks during an interview with Adom News Correspondent, Odehyeba Owusu Job, at the 2026 Basare Youth Association (BAYA) National Congress held at Kpandai. The congress was themed "One People, Our Heritage, One Future." Ms. Tagba urged the Basare people to promote dialogue and peaceful coexistence, emphasizing that meaningful development cannot flourish in an environment marred by division and conflict.

She also encouraged the youth to actively participate in advancing unity and preserving the cultural values and heritage of the Basare people.

Godson Baajike, the outgoing Vice President of BAYA, revealed that the congress aimed to unite Basare communities from different parts of the country to strengthen unity, peace, and development. In an interview with Adom News, Mr. Baajike stated that BAYA had been engaged in various initiatives to enhance the livelihoods of people within Basare communities since its inception.

He disclosed that the association had sponsored and supported students from Basare communities to further their education at tertiary institutions. Mr. Baajike added that BAYA would continue to rally Basare people and stakeholders to support education, peace, and socio-economic development projects. He urged the Basare youth to remain united and contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities.
