Six killed, two injured in Kogi road crash

Six individuals lost their lives and two others sustained injuries in a tragic road accident that occurred along the Kabba–Odo-Ape Road in Kogi State. Lawal Fagge, the Kogi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, confirmed the incident to journalists. The crash took place on Saturday and involved a truck and a commercial vehicle.

Fagge pointed out that the collision was likely due to excessive speed, and he strongly urged motorists to steer clear of speeding, unauthorized overtaking, and driving while fatigued. He stated, “It is deeply regrettable that six people lost their lives due to this unfortunate incident involving a truck and another vehicle on the Kabba–Odo-Ape Road." The deceased have been taken to the General Hospital, Kabba morgue.
