SEC Power Rankings: Ole Miss makes a leap after Week 3, LSU falls

Three weeks into the 2026 college football season, the SEC has been a whirlwind of change. Two preseason powerhouses have already lost their opening games, while teams expected to struggle have made impressive debuts. Alabama remains at No. 4 after a 50-36 win over Florida State, with Keelon Russell leading the team's offensive efforts.

Florida Gators have climbed to No. 5, marking their first appearance in the top five, after an 44-39 win over Auburn. Despite penalties, the Gators showed strong performance, ranking No. 2 in overall effectiveness by PFF.

LSU falls to No. 6 after a 32-24 loss to Ole Miss. The Tigers' offensive pass blocking has been a concern, allowing Ole Miss to control the game. Despite strong performances in non-conference games, Tennessee will face Texas Longhorns, the current No. 1 team in the nation, in their next game. Texas A&M Aggies have dropped to No. 11 after a 31-21 loss to Kentucky. The Aggies struggled to generate offense against Kentucky, largely due to interceptions by Reed.
