Saudi EV maker Ceer unveils first Exobot sedan and SUV models

Saudi electric vehicle manufacturer Ceer has unveiled its inaugural vehicles, the Exobot sedan and SUV. This marks the start of the brand's journey as part of a five-year plan to release seven new models. The Exobot is not only Ceer's first, but also a testament to the company's commitment to produce medium and compact vehicles with diverse drivetrain options.

These vehicles will be manufactured at the Ceer Industrial Complex, located within the King Salman Automotive Industrial City in King Abdullah Economic City. The design of the Exobot is a nod to Saudi Arabia's unique landscapes and cultural heritage, embodying the nation's vision.

The production of these vehicles will be locally designed and engineered to international standards, contributing to the growth of a competitive Saudi automotive industry. This move is expected to inject over 30 billion riyals into Saudi Arabia's GDP and enhance the trade balance by approximately 80 billion riyals, while also creating a substantial number of high-quality jobs by 2034.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Public Investment Fund, officially launched Ceer's first vehicle, the Exobot. This launch is a testament to Saudi Arabia's strategic vision to foster an advanced industrial sector in alignment with Vision 2030, and to bolster the Kingdom's standing in the global automotive industry.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized that this step is pivotal in building a sustainable and prosperous industrial ecosystem, and empowering the automotive sector as a key driver of economic growth. He highlighted the launch as a significant move towards attracting investment, nurturing national talent, and enhancing the role of the private sector, thereby positioning Saudi Arabia as a leading regional and global hub for the automotive industry.
