US President Donald Trump claimed on Monday that Russia has lost control of its diesel oil industry due to the ongoing war with Ukraine. The president made the remarks in a social media post the day before he was scheduled to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy at the UN General Assembly. Trump attributed the disruption to the conflict in Ukraine, stating that numerous diesel refineries in Russia had been destroyed and are currently non-operational.

However, Trump did not offer further details about the extent of the damage to the refineries or the overall impact on Russia's diesel oil industry. The president also reiterated his demand for an end to the Russia-Ukraine war, describing it as "ridiculous" and "never-ending." Trump emphasized the global repercussions of the conflict, noting that approximately 25,000 individuals, primarily soldiers, were being killed each month.

He concluded his post with a poignant remark, expressing his regret over the situation, stating, "What a shame!"
