Row Over Kailash Vijayvargiya's 'Weight' Remark On Councillor. She Responds

Madhya Pradesh Congress has strongly condemned state Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya for allegedly making a remark on the physical appearance of a woman councillor during a public event in Indore. A video circulated on social media purportedly shows Vijayvargiya saying, "...didi ki bhi chaudai badh gayi hai thodi si" which translates to "Her width has also increased a little." This has sparked criticism from Congress leaders who have demanded an apology from the minister.

Senior Congress leader and former minister PC Sharma described the remark as "unfortunate" and criticized Vijayvargiya for his position as a senior BJP leader who has held ministerial positions multiple times and has served on the BJP's national executive. He questioned the nature of such words and demanded Vijayvargiya to apologize to women and the general public.

Congress spokesperson Abhinav Barolia also expressed outrage, demanding that the state government take action by asking Vijayvargiya to resign. He likened Vijayvargiya's recent comments to his previous remarks about familial relationships and rebukes of journalists. Barolia further questioned why the BJP government has not taken notice of these issues, particularly in light of their minister Vijay Shah's insults towards the country's daughters and the Indian Army.
