Red Sea Film Festival cancels 2026 event

The Red Sea International Film Festival, slated for December 2026, has been postponed due to logistical challenges. The sixth edition of this prestigious event, which typically takes place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will now be held in the fourth quarter of 2027. The decision was made after a comprehensive review of various factors, with a primary focus on ensuring the festival is executed under optimal conditions to deliver the high-quality experience attendees have come to expect.

The organization emphasized that this delay is a testament to their dedication to providing a top-tier event. Despite the postponement, the Foundation reassured the public that its ongoing year-round initiatives, including the Red Sea Fund and Red Sea Labs, will remain active. Starting in November 2026, new year-round programming will be introduced at Culture Square in Historic Jeddah, allowing the festival to maintain a presence in the city between editions.
