Rawalpindi Excise Launches One-Window Facilitation Centre

The Rawalpindi Excise and Taxation Department has introduced a One-Window Facilitation Centre to streamline the process of accessing government services for citizens. The new system aims to provide faster resolution of issues related to property tax, professional tax, and motor vehicle tax, among others. Dedicated staff have been placed at the Excise and Taxation Office reception to receive applications and guide them to the appropriate departments.

Officials are expected to address applications and complaints within two days, minimizing the need for citizens to make multiple visits to the office. Director of Excise and Taxation, Nauman Khalid, will personally monitor the system to ensure timely action on applications and complaints. Khalid emphasized that the primary goal is to provide relief to citizens, making the process more transparent, efficient, and responsive.

The one-window facility will eventually be fully computerized to improve application tracking, record management, and the prompt resolution of public complaints. Khalid assured citizens that the office would remain accessible for problem-solving and that officials would make every effort to provide immediate relief whenever possible.
