Python rescued from dance troupe during Ganesh procession in Hyderabad

A protest erupted in Hyderabad, Telangana, after allegations surfaced that non-vegetarian food waste and bones were thrown near a Ganesh idol immersion event. Hindu organizations claimed that the packet containing the waste was tossed near a cooking vessel during the Annadanam program, organized as part of Ganesh Chaturthi in the Madannapet area.

According to the police, three individuals were detained for questioning after being identified as Mohammad Imran Qureshi, Arshiya Begum, and Sameena, all residents of the affected 2 BHK housing society. The DCP Charminar Zone, Kiran Khare, stated that the three suspects will be held in custody and that stringent action will be taken against them.

The Ganesh pandal organizing committee submitted a petition to the police, and an ongoing investigation is taking place. The officer clarified that the situation is now peaceful and warned against spreading rumors. The police assured the public that traffic is returning to normal, and all grievances of the housing society and protesters have been addressed.
