PM dijangka menghadap Tuanku Muhriz di Istana Negeri Sembilan

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, along with Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi and Chief Minister Ismail Lasim, are reportedly set to appear before Negeri Sembilan's Yang di-Pertuan Besar, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, tonight. Kuala Lumpur: The vehicle is believed to have carried Anwar Ibrahim to Istana Negeri Sembilan in Changkat Persekutuan around 6 in the evening.

Anwar is expected to face Tuanku Muhriz following developments regarding the standing of a member of the State Assembly (MMKN). Media observers have gathered at Istana Negeri Sembilan since approximately 3 in the evening. According to Azizi Mohamad Ali, the Director-General of the Istana Negeri Sembilan, the Tuanku Muhriz canceled the appointment of a powerful MMKN member after discovering all exco members implicated in breaking their oath of office.

Azizi stated that, according to Perkara XXXVIII(5) of the State Government Body of Negeri Sembilan Law, a member of the MMKN holds their position as long as they are endorsed by the Yang di-Pertuan Besar. They took an oath and signed a pledge of loyalty on August 7th. Following this cancellation, the chief minister must submit a list of new MMKN nominees for consideration and endorsement by Tuanku Muhriz in accordance with Perkara XXXVIII(2) of the State Government Body of Negeri Sembilan Law.
