An ACX grantee inquired if the author could sign up for various cloud providers' free compute programs on their behalf. The author's attempt to help AI safety charities obtain compute resulted in a discussion with several organizations. Currently, the author believes that no cloud providers offer free compute to grant recipients.

However, the author remains enthusiastic about assisting deserving startups and nonprofits in obtaining compute resources in exchange for praise and free advertisements on ACX. The author invites those representing compute providers or organizations with abundant compute capabilities to reach out for potential collaborations.

Following recent feedback on the book review finalist, "This Is Going To Hurt," concerns were raised about the text's potential AI authorship. The author had previously stated that while AI can be used for research and small writing tasks, most of the content should be written by the human author. The finalist entry was a collaborative effort between two contributors, with one not utilizing AI.

To address the concerns, the author decided not to disqualify the entry, allowing the detractors to vote against it in the final vote. The perks associated with the finalist entry, including a free subscription, the opportunity to pitch the author, and prize money if it wins, will go exclusively to the contributor who did not use AI.

For the next contest, the author plans to implement a stricter policy, such as disqualifying entries with more than 5% AI-generated content as determined by a Pangram score, and ensuring that both joint entry contributors are aware of and abide by this rule.
