Nearly 500 vote at Russian Embassy in Tallinn in State Duma election

Russian State Duma elections have revealed that the aggressor has no plans to cease the war, according to Iryna Friz, a member of the parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence. Friz asserts that the Russian regime remains fixated on three key elements: war, repression, and total control. She contends that the electoral results are merely a display of control by the Kremlin, not a genuine transition towards democracy.

Friz argues that these so-called elections serve to legitimize the actions of the regime and its supporters in Russia. She states that the de jure accomplices of the aggressor are the Russians who vote, thereby reinforcing the system of terror, repression, murders, and destruction. Friz further condemns the voting process in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, calling it an act of extreme cynicism and a blatant violation of international law.

Friz emphasizes that the occupation of foreign land does not become legitimate simply because of these bogus elections. Both the European Parliament and the Verkhovna Rada have previously expressed their stance on this matter. The Russian State Duma elections were held from September 18-20, including in the illegally occupied territories of Ukraine.
