NASCAR swear jar hits $3,305 after 193 expletives recorded in Bristol Night Race

NASCAR has accumulated $3,305 in its newly introduced swear jar following 193 expletives recorded during the Bristol Night Race. The $5 fee for each swear word spoken across Cup radio channels has been steadily increasing as the Chase progresses. Across all Cup teams, NASCAR has documented 661 expletives on the radio after the races in Darlington, Gateway, and Bristol.

However, the short track race at Bristol, with its 500 laps, contributed the least to the total with 193 swears. This is the lowest count of the Chase races thus far, while the Gateway race led with 245 swear words. A live, on-air F-bomb from Ryan Blaney outside the infield care center was also noted, but it is unlikely to be included in the final tally as NASCAR only considers radio chatter.

The brawl between Blaney and Carson Hocevar, both on and off the track, did not result in any additional swear words being counted. NASCAR has even created a leaderboard showcasing the most frequently used swear words. The term "f-word" has been uttered 323 times, followed by "sh*t" at 152 occurrences. Other notable curses include "hell" at 59 times, "ass" at 40, and "damn" at 26.

Joey Logano secured his 40th career win after moving from fourth to first on the final restart, while Kyle Larson finished second and took over the championship lead. The intense rivalry between Blaney and Hocevar dominated the headlines, with the incident capturing the attention of all NASCAR fans.
