Name Mamnoor airport after Rani Rudrama Devi: BRS leader

B. Vinod Kumar, a senior leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former MP, has urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to name the upcoming Mamnoor airport after Rani Rudrama Devi. In a letter to the Chief Minister dated September 20, 2026, Kumar clarified that claiming full credit for the airport's realization was incorrect, despite his role as Chief Minister.

He acknowledged the efforts of the previous BRS Government and then Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who had made multiple attempts and meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Civil Aviation Minister to revive the project. Kumar's BRS Government representatives had also approached the Centre for the airport's revival in 2014, 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2023.
