MND Group signs memo with Naftogaz on participation in 3 Ukrgazvydobuvannia production-sharing agreements – energy division director

MND Group, a subsidiary of the KKCG investment group headed by Karel Komárek, has entered into a memorandum of cooperation with Naftogaz Ukrainy. This collaboration will see MND Group participate in three production-sharing agreements (PSAs) between Ukrgazvydobuvannia, a Naftogaz subsidiary, and the Ukrainian government. MND Group's energy division director, Jana Hamršová, announced this development on LinkedIn.

Speaking at the Carpathian Eight summit held in Bukovel, Naftogaz CEO Serhiy Fedorenko emphasized Ukraine's commitment to boosting domestic production and seeking international partners to invest in modern technologies and expertise. Hamršová expressed her enthusiasm about the summit, stating that it inspired her participation in the initiative, which unites countries in the Carpathian region for economic, energy, and investment collaboration.

This memorandum is a testament to MND Group's long-standing presence in Ukraine, dating back 12 years. The company believes in Ukraine's future and aims to contribute to its recovery and development. Additionally, local media in Poltava reported that MND is expanding its operations in the region, commencing a new energy resource extraction project.

In July 2019, the Ukrainian government approved PSA tenders for nine hydrocarbon blocks, with UGV partnering with Vermilion to secure the Balakliia and Ivanivka blocks, and independently claiming the Berestianska and Buzivska blocks in the Kharkiv, Lviv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In August 2023, UGV and MND signed an agreement to explore hydrocarbons in western Ukraine.
