MCIT wraps up AI Executive Leadership Programme

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) concluded its second AI Executive Leadership Programme, "AI Business Strategy & Innovation," held at the Insead Europe Centre in Fontainebleau, France from September 14 to 16. The programme, a collaboration with Microsoft and Qatar Digital Academy, welcomed 24 leaders from 17 government entities.

It aimed to advance participants from a basic understanding of artificial intelligence to strategic assessment of its opportunities, identifying key use cases, aligning them with institutional goals, and constructing cases for implementation. The programme tackled crucial aspects of AI adoption, including implementation, data management, governance, risk management, and organizational change, to ensure responsible use of AI.

Participants tackled real-world projects, applying frameworks and tools to evaluate opportunities based on potential value, feasibility, data readiness, and institutional preparedness. The programme provided access to global expertise and best practices, fostering exchanges among leaders from various sectors and entities. MCIT's Duha al-Buhendi emphasized the Academy's role in developing tailored programs to meet government needs amidst rapid technological progress, aligning with the Digital Agenda 2030 goal of creating a future-ready workforce.

The initiative underscores Qatar's commitment to investing in human capital as a key pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030, preparing leaders to deploy AI effectively and responsibly, ultimately contributing to a digitally advanced and diversified economy.
