Mann da Munafa: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann launches 2027 door-to-door campaign from Dhuri

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann commenced the AAP's door-to-door election campaign for the 2027 assembly elections from his constituency, Dhuri, in his home district of Sangrur on Sunday. On Saturday, the party launched pamphlets in Ludhiana, listing the benefits fulfilled by the AAP government over five years, and a chargesheet against the previous SAD-BJP and Congress governments. These pamphlets will be distributed during a month-long drive until October 20 across the state, with AAP leaders visiting households.

Mann expressed that he was bringing the AAP government's four-and-a-half-year report card directly to the people's homes, emphasizing the 'Mann Da Munafa' (benefits of having Mann as CM) as the core message of the campaign. He stated that every family is receiving an annual benefit of Rs 1.82 lakh through initiatives such as free electricity, healthcare, education, and the Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna (monthly financial assistance to women).

In the 2022 assembly polls, Mann had defeated Congress candidate Dalvir Singh Goldy by over 58,000 votes. On Sunday, Mann went door-to-door in Dhuri, interacting with families and residents. Earlier, Goldy had claimed that he was detained by police and prevented from meeting Mann, despite reaching the venue. However, he managed to evade the police and reached Dhuri, where he attempted to engage with the CM via a Facebook Live session.
