Manager Fowler departs struggling Flint

Flint Town United have dismissed manager Lee Fowler following a losing start to their Cymru Premier campaign. Fowler, a former professional player who played for Coventry City, Huddersfield Town, and Wrexham, joined The Silkmen in June 2022. After his team suffered relegation during his first season, Fowler quickly brought them back into the top division the following year.

Last season, he led the club to the Welsh Cup final, where they lost 3-0 to Caernarfon Town at Rodney Parade in Newport. Flint chairman Darryl Williams expressed his sadness over the decision to replace Fowler, praising his ability to build strong relationships with everyone at the club. Flint presently finds itself 15th in the Cymru Premier, with no victories in their opening 10 league matches. Fowler's final match in charge was a 4-1 loss to local rivals Airbus UK on Friday.
