Maia Bouchier was born on December 5, 1998, in Kensington, Greater London. She is an English cricketer who plays as a right-handed batter and occasional right-arm medium pacer. Bouchier is a member of the Hampshire county team, the Southern Brave in The Hundred, and the Melbourne Stars in the Women’s Big Bash League. She made her international debut for the English women's team in September 2021 and has since played in T20Is, ODIs, and Tests.
Maia has two older brothers, G Bouchier and AK Bouchier. Growing up, she played cricket, football, and rugby with her brothers and local friends in northwest London. Her father, Anthony Bouchier, founded the Primrose Hill Cricket Club to provide better opportunities for his sons to play, and Maia began attending the club at around the age of six. Her father's initiative led to Maia's cricket career taking off from an early age, as she was the only girl among her brothers and the other members of the club.
