Luis Díaz feels at home in Munich, but continues to struggle with the language

Díaz discovered this the hard way when he transitioned from FC Porto to Liverpool and undertook the challenge of mastering English. Years later, he has moved to Bayern Munich and is once again grappling with a new language – this time German.

In an interview with Sky Germany’s Kerry Hau, Díaz candidly shared his struggles with learning German. Despite these difficulties, he has expressed immense fondness for the city and its people. When asked about what he likes about German culture, Díaz highlighted the kindness and warmth of the people, especially within the club.

He commended the club members for their meticulous attention to detail and their welcoming attitude towards newcomers. Díaz noted that this same mindset resonates with him personally, given his Colombian roots.

However, Díaz admitted that the language barrier remains a formidable obstacle. He described learning German as "strange" and "incredibly difficult," acknowledging that adapting to it is not an easy process. Nevertheless, Díaz remains undeterred, emphasizing that the city's beauty and the enjoyable activities available make the language challenge worthwhile. He expressed his happiness in Munich, stating that he has no significant complaints about his new life there.
