Lanterns episode 6 introduces a character with major comic book ties to Hal Jordan — and it's someone we first met in Ryan Reynolds' disastrous 2011 Green Lantern movie

In Lanterns episode 6, a character with significant connections to the Green Lantern mythos has made an appearance. The episode, titled "Bad Optics," follows John Stewart's return to Rushville after 10 years to investigate the supposed death of Hal Jordan. During his visit to the funeral, Stewart encounters a figure with ties to Jordan in the DC Universe.

This mysterious individual is none other than Carol Ferris, Hal Jordan's love interest in comic book lore. Carol, who has been a part of Green Lantern lore for over 60 years, was first introduced as Hal Jordan's girlfriend and a formidable foe, turning into the villain Star Sapphire after being abducted and brainwashed by the Zamarons.

Since her debut in 1962, Carol has been entangled in romantic relationships with Hal Jordan, often assuming the Star Sapphire mantle. In the show, Amie MacKenzie portrays Carol Ferris, a character previously seen in the 2011 Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds. MacKenzie's appearance in Lanterns might hint at the creation of additional Lantern Corps in the DCU, as Sinestro's presence in "Chapter One" suggests the possibility of the Yellow Lantern Corps forming.
