Lahore Traffic Police Arrest 9 One-Wheelers in Crackdown

Lahore Traffic Police conducted a late-night operation targeting one-wheelers, racing, and reckless driving in the city. Six one-wheelers were apprehended at Airport Circle, while three others were taken into custody at Gulberg Circle. All the arrested individuals have been charged with various offenses. Additionally, the driver of a Dala vehicle was arrested for attaching illicit police flasher lights, and their vehicle was impounded.

A case has been registered against the driver as well. Authorities also arrested several individuals involved in causing panic and disorder by blocking the Defence Phase 6 Underpass. The crackdown was initiated following multiple complaints from citizens regarding one-wheeling, racing, and noise pollution. Some of the arrested one-wheelers were found uploading videos of their stunts and hooliganism on social media.

In the future, Lahore's Chief Technology Officer, Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi, emphasized that one-wheeling, speeding, and over-speeding will not be tolerated, and creating disorder or fear on public roads will also not be permitted. The Lahore Traffic Police will utilize social media and other available data to identify and take action against those who managed to escape arrest.
