KP govt makes budgetary allocations for WCCIPD

PESHAWAR: KP Finance Advisor Muzammil Aslam declared that necessary budgetary allocations and procedures have been finalized for crucial initiatives, as he spoke to women business leaders at the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries (WCCI Peshawar Division). The key plans involve Rs 5 million for upgrading the Women Chamber, a Rs 50 million Endowment Fund for female entrepreneurs, interest-rate subsidies for easier access to finance, and a Women Incubation Centre to assist businesses from idea to growth.

The Chamber welcomed the provincial government's backing for their proposals to bolster the environment for women-run businesses throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. WCCI Peshawar Division President Qurat Ul Ain stressed the Chamber's expanding function in women's economic empowerment, policy advocacy, networking, market access, skill development, and institutional support.

Chamber founder Sajida Zulfiqar mentioned the difficulties and chances for women entrepreneurs, industrial growth, and the potential of underused public and institutional resources to encourage women-led economic activity. Businesswoman Shamama Arbab talked about sector-specific prospects, especially in food processing, agriculture-related firms, value addition, and emerging areas where women could contribute significantly to the provincial economy.

The WCCI Peshawar Division expressed gratitude for the provincial government's acknowledgment of these priorities and anticipated collaborating with the relevant departments to turn these plans into tangible opportunities, stronger companies, employment, investment, and inclusive economic growth for women in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
