Knicks Trade Options to Offload Pacome Dadiet Revealed

The New York Knicks have five veterans vying for a single roster spot ahead of the upcoming season. Should they manage to find a buyer for Pacome Dadiet's $2.9 million salary, the team could potentially bring in two additional veterans -- Bruce Brown, John Konchar, Drew Eubanks, James Wiseman and Ochai Agbaji -- to bolster their squad.

Dan Favale, a writer for Daily Knicks, has identified five potential franchises that could be interested in Dadiet. These teams include the Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Clippers and Brooklyn Nets. Favale explains that the Hornets demonstrated a "bigger picture" mindset during their LaMelo Ball trade, and they may be open to accepting Dadiet in exchange for draft assets.

The Bulls possess an open roster spot, making them a more appealing trade partner for the Knicks. However, there is a $5.3 million team option on Dadiet's rookie contract for the following season, meaning that any team that acquires him is not obligated to retain his services. The Memphis Grizzlies could also be a suitable partner, as they have an unused non-taxpayer mid-level exception remaining after the Quinten Post trade.

The Los Angeles Clippers, despite having recently relinquished five future first-round picks due to a salary-cap violation, may be willing to trade for Dadiet in exchange for a second-round draft choice. Finally, the Brooklyn Nets are the most likely candidate due to their substantial cap space, with the entire $9.4 million room exception still available.

Trading Miles McBride appears to be a less likely scenario, as it would likely only take place closer to the February trade deadline.
